Ya’ll, I just did one heck of a maternity session. It was amazing!! The light, the outfits, shoulda-been-model people and perfect weather made it an absolutely dreamy session that I squealed in delight over the whole time I was editing. We went to Thompson Station Park (which I guess is Sarah Benson park now??) first, and soaked up that strong side light.
Beautiful strong light comes in right before the sun starts setting. It works great for that full light sun flair look. We got super lucky with this light because we only got connected and booked the session the day before! We both had super limited availability and the only day that was going to work was Labor Day, so I enjoyed that little pun and booked it!
See? Light for daaaaaays and Kristen is absolutely stunning all bellied up and has the best sense of style so I was enjoying myself immensely! She did that thing where you set up a pose for a couple and then she MOVED. Yes! I bet you think that’s a bad thing, but when you work one pose several different ways by moving your head this way and that, trying different smiles and moving your shoulders, it’s like working with a professional model and it’s SO nice.
So anyway, then we drove one mile down to “downtown” Thompson Station and posed in front of (not ON the tracks, because that would be illegal and I’m not all about a 10k fine) the tracks with the gorgeous sun setting.
Sun when it’s low like that does wonderful things for skin tones!
Then the old post office was used as a background for a few shots before we headed over to the charming little train. Downtown Thompson Station is teensy tiny, but absolutely beautiful for a photoshoot, and I think everyone was getting inspired. Kristen and Zach were extremely cooperative and kind and I really enjoyed getting to know them! Can you believe she’s doing all this and is due THIS month?! Major rockstar.
I must do one special shout out for Zach too, he was really a great sport and let Kristen and I do all the fun poses we had pinned on Pinterest with no fuss whatsoever! With patience like that, he’s ready to be a dad!
Thank you two for doing this super last second session with me, I loved it!!
