There are few things more precious than a sleeping infant. I always do newborn sessions before day 10 in their tiny lives, and after that, you’ll never see them in pictures like this again. All curled up and perfect, with sleeping smiles and blissfully unaware of the stranger that’s manipulating them into all kinds of crazy poses, and closed eyes. Every professional image they have of them for the rest of their lives will be open eyes, moving, smiling (or occasionally crying) and alert. It’s crazy to think about, but it goes by so fast. I’m just glad I know this for when I have a new baby. I’m sure I’ll appreciate these days so much more. We did little Raya’s session “home life” style, without as much posing and with more elements from her home. Pretty stinkin’ cute, I think.
Little Raya was a pure delight. She smiled in her sleep and didn’t mind me moving her around. Her parents were awesome too! They kept the house very warm and were so helpful! The window light in their new home was perfect too, so it was just a great shoot. I love working with my clients, especially when they love photography too!
